Bricknell Primary – School Council

Our school council are a hard working and very professional group of pupils, elected by their peers to represent them at weekly school council meetings.

At the end of last term councillors met with Mr Hass to discuss and decide upon new static game panels for the playgrounds! Friends of Bricknell have given the school money to purchase these. Together with Mr Hass, councillors came to a decision and these are currently on order with hopefully arriving around February half term. We will keep you posted on the progress.

The Ebola Crisis fundraising, of filling a large map with 20p’s has now ended. Thank you so much for your support and generosity. The map was almost covered and we collected a total of £622.35. Kathleen Guthrie, from Hull’s Freetown Society, will be coming to Bricknell and joining an assembly to collect the cheque.

Councillors are already busy this term and are starting plans for organising our yearly Easter Bonanza event. Dates and times to follow.

Also the organising of a ‘Pet Festival’ where donations of old blankets/towels, tinned pet food and other items can be brought into school which will then be taken to RSPCA, Clough rd. Date to follow shortly.
