A huge congratulations to the Bricknell Blue team for their outstanding performance at the @HullActiveSch 7-a-side football competition! 7-a-side competition

Bricknell Yellow and Bricknell Red both participated in the @HullActiveSch 7-a-side competition, performing admirably throughout. The teams displayed incredible resilience, teamwork, and a positive attitude, giving their all in every match. Although they narrowly missed out on reaching the finals, their effort and determination were nothing short of impressive. Both teams represented Bricknell with pride and enthusiasm, proving themselves to be outstanding competitors. Well done to everyone involved!

Panathlon event

Bricknell took a group of Year 6 pupils to the @HullActiveSch Panathlon: Boccia event, and they had a fantastic morning. The children embraced learning a new sport, showing incredible enthusiasm and skill. They demonstrated outstanding teamwork, communication, and respect throughout the event, along with impeccable behaviour, making the school proud.

Cross Country event

At the @HullActiveSch Cross Country event, the Year 6 girls performed admirably well. Out of 100 pupils, Bricknell had a 55th, 40th, 26th and a brilliant 18th place resulting in a team place of 8th out of 14 schools. the Year 6 boys performed exceptionally well. Out of 100 pupils, Bricknell had a 33rd, 20th, 14th and a brilliant 8th place resulting in a team place of 3rd out of 14 schools.

Year 6 – PE

Year six have focused on the units of Dance and Movement and Invasion (Hockey) In their Interpretive Dance and Movement unit, Year six worked in small groups to show originality and creativity in movements when performing memories, represented through movement, from their journey through the school from EYFS to the current time. Year 2 – PE

In Year 2, PE lessons this term have centred around Dance and Movement as well as Invasion Games, with a particular focus on Tag Rugby.
