We have been lucky enough to have some very special visitors in school.  The leader of Hull City Council: Councillor Ross and our local member of parliament: Dame Diana Johnson have both visited us.  We asked lots of questions and learnt about how democracy works.

As part of Parliament week, we organised a whole school vote to choose a charity to support.  This involved choosing the charities, writing and delivering speeches in assembly, designing the voting forms and counting the votes.

We have been involved in the local rewilding project supporting Hull City Council to plant trees.  We had lots of fun and got very muddy!

Every year we play an important part role in the Christmas and Summer Fairs.  We design, create and run our own acvitivities and have rasied lots of money to support Friends of Bricknell and local charities.

As part of Hull City Council’s Road safetey awareness campaign, we launched a competition to design some new road saftey signs to go up on Bricknell Avenue to encourgae drivers to slow down.

Over the year we have had the opportunity to take part in lots of exciting things in our community.  Take a look at what we have been up to! This year we have elected a Leader of the Council and a Deputy Leader of the Council, who will meet regularly with Mrs Stannard to share and discuss the views of the pupils.
