EYFS – PE
In EYFS, the focus in PE this term has been on developing fundamental ball skills. The children have been working on key movements such as rolling, throwing, catching, and kicking, helping to build their coordination, balance, and control. These activities have been carefully designed to introduce them to handling a ball confidently while improving their motor skills through fun and engaging tasks.
Beyond physical development, these sessions have also supported the children’s social and cognitive skills. Activities involving teamwork and turn-taking have encouraged cooperation and sharing, while tasks that require focus and problem-solving have helped to develop their concentration. The children have shown fantastic enthusiasm and progress, laying the groundwork for more advanced skills as they continue their physical education journey.
