Nursery: Expressive Arts and Design
In Nursery, children learn about Music through the Expressive Arts and Design, Being Imaginative and Expressive, area of learning. Children listen to different sounds, respond to music expressing their thoughts and feelings, learn new songs and rhymes and play instruments with increasing control. This is done through independent learning in the music area as well as a weekly structured music sessions. Occasionally, we have musicians visit us and we get to sing along with them as they play their instruments. The children love to perform new songs, rhymes and poems and especially love performing at our Christmas performance.
