Why does our school help you with your feelings?

At Bricknell Primary School, we understand that sometimes you might feel worried, sad, or stressed. A lot of pupils feel this way, and it’s really important that you get the help you need. When you feel better, you can do your best at school and enjoy life more.

We’re here to teach you how to manage your feelings and help you feel confident. We want you to build great friendships, feel happy about yourself, and be ready for the future.

How do we help?

Everyone at school is here to help you with your feelings every day. Some teachers focus on making sure you’re feeling good and ready to learn. They help with things like:

  • Feeling worried or sad
  • Making friends and getting along with others
  • Solving problems
  • Understanding your feelings
  • Building your confidence

We also have a fun program where you can work with Nell, our pastoral welfare dog to help you feel more confident and happy. If you’re in Year 6, we’ll give you extra help to feel ready for secondary school.

At Bricknell, we want to make sure you feel supported and happy so you can do your best every day!
