Year 1 – Drawing inspired by David Hockney
The children appraised some of the artwork David Hockney to understand how he used shapes, lines and tones. After developing their knowledge of the formal elements, the children then experimented with different lines and shapes to create the features of natural scene. At the end of the unit, all the children created their own piece of art.
