Year 3 – Drawing inspired by Islamic Geometric Art
Starting with an appraisal of a range of pieces of Islamic Geometric art, the children in Year 3 developed their understanding of the formal elements of line, shape and tone. After securing their knowledge of the formal elements, the children explored and developed their ideas to create geometric, decorative images. The endpoint of the unit was to create a piece of geometric art.
