Year 5 – Drawing inspired by illustrator Anthony Browne
In Year 5, the focus of drawing moves to representing perspective and detail whilst also starting to consider how to represent an idea or emotion. As an inspiration for this, the children appraised the often emotion illustration of the artist and illustrator, Anthony Browne. The children experimented with how to use perspective to create depth but also to create distance and isolation. The contrasting use of geometric and organic shapes created a dreamlike quality that matched the tone of the mood of the artwork.
